Homies and gentlecats, this Thursday, September 6, the legendary late-night shopping event that is Fashion’s Night Out hits our fair city – finally – and we here at laurenoutloud.com (read: Me and my iPhone and some magic beans) are READY FOR IT.

Almost. I still have no idea what to wear.

Not this

Created by American Vogue, the CFDA, N.Y and Company, and the City of New York in 2009, FNO‘s original purpose was to bolster NYC’s economy (or something?)

It has since expanded into a wildy-attended global shopping event with major star power behind it.

In this video alone: Posh Spice, Michael Kors, Olivia Wilde, Ursher, Coco Rocha, Taylor Swift, Some Glee guy and… wait for it… Beeeeeiiiberrrr!

I really wish that thumbnail was Justin Bieber. It’s not even necessary for me to hide my attraction to him anymore because Justin Bieber is 18 and Justin Bieber is a sexy young man.

Ugh. Nevermind. That still feels way creepy.

REMEMBER?

Toronto’s version of Fashion’s night out comes to us via the City of Toronto, the Toronto Fashion Incubator, The Peacock Parade, and Rac Boutique.

I’m on the #FNO_Toronto social media committee for this year, which basically means that I’ll be out and about Instagramming up a storm that night when I’m not preoccupied with taking photos of myself trying things on and emptying my wallet… :)

Most events are taking place in Queen West and Yorkville between the hours of 6 and 11Follow FNO_Toronto on Twitter for breaking additions / changes / hot goss.

Below are my MUST HITS for the evening, based on quality of retailers, people involved, venue and some other indeterminable things. A full event listing is available here. Tons of great ones to hit — good luck and (fashion)god speed, my friends!
