Hi hi, Happy Humpday!

Barack Obama, the president of the United freaking States of America did an AMA on Reddit earlier this evening (that’s “Ask me anything” if you’re a new***) which is pretty much all you need to know about the history of this day for the rest of your life, at least until it’s not very significant or unusual for leaders of nations to use the Internet to communicate with their people in real time anymore. So like, next year I hope.

Anyhoo, the massive influx of traffic for the Obama AMA caused a massive Reddit server crash and many hilarious quips ensued.

 

 

Now LOOK AT MY NEW CAT EARS!

I bought those this past weekend in the super Japanese everything section at Fan Expo Canada, partially because I think they’re adorable and partially out of spite. It’s a long story.

I also felt a bit underdressed in my cool Dylan and Brandon tee — which is actually a nightie I used to sleep in when I was eight. No joke.

The cat ears made me feel a little bit more legit next all of the incredible cosplayers at Fan Ex, plus, when else can I wear cat ears outside of halloween or a broadway stage and fit right in? MROW! I would have spent days buying cute little weird things from Japan if it hadn’t been so crowded in there.

Last night, I went to a party (What else is new, myaaaw) and wore a dress with a PEPLUM on it (THAT! That is new. Yyaaaaaw!)

I swear, I’m way happier to be wearing this than my face indicates in that picture. I like the word “Peplum” because it sounds like “Pablum.” I’m not into baby food or anything, I just like the word pablum. It’s got a nice mouth feel… LIKE BABY FOOD!

The Style and Sound party was hosted by Urbane Bloc‘s Gloria Chik (such a dope girl) and Tunezy on the Thompson Hotel’s Rooftop.

The Thompson rooftop is like, last year’s impossible-to-get-into rich people hot spot turned… well, I don’t know what it is now, but it feels like I end up there almost every week for some random party or another these days and Lordy knows that I did not get any cooler or richer… ya know?

Not that I’m complaining. It’s a great spot to party… and SEGWAYING OF PARTIES, check out the wee arm party I had kicking last night! (yeah, I said it. arm party. Stupid manrepeller…)

The Spikes are from Mendo and the two ID bracelets are old old from my parents.

That beautiful shiny “Golddust Bracelet“, third from the left though, I picked that up at the party when I won it from HelloBerry!

Helloberry is a Toronto-based company and their product is just wicked.

The bracelets themselves are hand made, in Canada, and their colour / material selection is incredible.

Layered or alone, these bracelets are bold enough to make a statement, but not so wild that you can’t wear them every day. Plus, they’re light and comfortable. No digging into your flesh like that spiky one above (*cough*).

Big ups to Helloberry and Urbanebloc for the bracelet! Still loving it :)

And finally, because it’s Wednesday, would you rockkkkkk these stupid glow in the dark jeans?

My answer? FRICK YES. I wouldn’t pay $240 for them, but I’d certainly rock them. They are made in Canada after all, by the same company that brought us scratch n’ sniff denim, Naked & Famous!

Then again, I’m the girl who wears cat ears sometimes.
